Job summary

Quirk Hotel in Richmond, VA is seeking a dynamic Bartender to join our team. You will take accurate drink and food orders, craft cocktails to our standards, and ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school education; hospitality experience preferred.
• At least 1 year in hotel/restaurant bartending.
• Knowledge of cocktail preparation and presentation.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Takes accurate food orders from guests.
• Upsells and suggests menu items to guests.
• Create classic and craft cocktails to recipe standards.
• Totals checks, presents to guests and accepts payment.
• Maintain setup and cleanliness of the station before, during, and after shifts.
• Adhere to all liquor regulations and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Takes accurate food orders from guests
• Upsells and has the ability to make natural suggestions tp guide guests
• Monitor food distribution, ensuring that meals are delivered to the correct recipients and that food is properly prepared and nicely presented
• Checks station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
• Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverage to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Must be familiar with all menu items, their preparation and service procedure.
• Totals checks, presents to guests and accept payment
• Create classic and craft cocktails to our recipe standards
• Perform various other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year in hotel/restaurant bartending role

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Team player

• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
• Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers, calculators, etc.
• Basic mathematical skills as needed to make change and give refunds
