Job summary

ABM Industries in Savannah, GA is seeking a Quick Response Technician to handle hot/cold calls and execute preventive and reactive maintenance on equipment and facilities. Candidates should understand mechanical, plumbing, electrical, painting, and housekeeping in mechanical areas and be comfortable working in a safety-focused, team-driven environment.

The role involves responding to maintenance requests, performing routine repairs, and assisting with various elevated work and lift operations.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years demonstrated maintenance experience in a commercial or industrial setting.
• Knowledge of a variety of building maintenance procedures and techniques.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement.
• Performs routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks or urinals, fixing water leaks, leaking faucets, and water fountains.
• Performs routine electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps and might assist Electrician in repairing ballast and light fixtures.
• Responds to hot/cold calls and makes necessary adjustments or escalates issue to a plant operations team.
• Must be safety conscious and work safely within a team-oriented environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Willingness to Work at Various Heights: comfortable working in elevated environments; may require extended periods at heights.
• Ladder Climbing: capable of safely ascending/descending ladders of various sizes and types.
• Utilizing Various Lifts: operate scissor/boom lifts to reach higher areas.
