Job summary

Ourisman Automotive Group in Waldorf, MD seeks a dedicated Lube Technician to perform routine maintenance and oil changes across a range of vehicles, ensuring quality service and customer satisfaction.

You will inspect fluids, rotate tires, and assist technicians while upholding safety standards. Prior automotive maintenance experience and basic mechanical skills are valued, along with strong attention to detail and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a lube technician or in automotive maintenance is preferred.
• Completion of a technical or automotive training program is a plus.
• Basic mechanical skills and understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills and effective communication with customers and team members.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing maintenance tasks and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil and filter changes on vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.
• Inspect and top off all vehicle fluids, including coolant, brake, transmission, power steering, and windshield washer fluids.
• Conduct tire rotations, balance tires, and check tire pressure, advising on tire condition and wear.
• Perform basic vehicle inspections to identify potential issues or maintenance needs, reporting findings to service advisors or technicians.
• Communicate with customers to explain services performed and provide recommendations for additional maintenance.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of service bays, tools, and equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions.
• Assist other service technicians and team members as needed to support efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.

Role Summary

What we look for

• Basic mechanical skills and a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing maintenance tasks and inspections.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks associated with vehicle maintenance.
• Familiarity with automotive tools and equipment, with the ability to learn new technologies and systems.
