Overview

Join to apply for the Quick Lube Technician role at Larry Puckett Chevrolet in Prattville, AL.

We are looking for a Quick Lube Technician to join our growing team. The right candidate will have a strong background in automotive work and ASE certification or a technical degree. The day-to-day duties include testing systems, driving vehicles for test purposes, and accurately diagnosing and repairing vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Test systems and components to ensure they are secure and functioning properly
• Isolate systems or components that might have caused the problem
• Drive the vehicle for testing, inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
• Ensure proper tire pressure, clean and lubricate fittings as needed
• Install a new oil drain plug and new oil filter and communicate oil levels to teammates
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of vehicle breakdown or damage
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform tasks

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of automobiles and quick diagnostic abilities
• Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• ASE Certification/Technical degree (preferred)
• One year in a service department
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
