Job summary

Jim Norton Auto Group in Oklahoma City is seeking a Quick Lube Technician to perform oil changes, fluid checks, and basic vehicle maintenance to keep customers safe and on the road.

You will inspect belts and filters, monitor air levels and gauges, and operate diagnostic tools and power hand tools to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining high workmanship standards; opportunities for training and growth are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year service department experience.
• Identify problems quickly and adapt.
• Analytical and communication skills.
• Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills.
• Learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications.
• Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Technical degree/ASE certifications preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Positive, friendly attitude.

The responsibilities of a Quick Lube Technician will mainly be focused on fluid checks and basic maintenance. Additional responsibilities include changing a vehicle's oil, checking the transmission fluid and other fluid levels, inspect various belts and filters, and check air levels and gauges.

Physical Requirements

• The physical requirements of the position are MEDIUM to HEAVY in intensity.
• Must be able to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time.
• Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision comparable necessary to drive vehicles safely.
• Constant – Reaching, sitting, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing.
• Frequent – Repetitive motion.
• Occasional – Balancing, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to ~100 lbs.

Physical Working Conditions

• This position is subject to inside and outside environmental working conditions including but not limited to temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, minor potential physical hazards as electrical, mechanical, and cleaning equipment, and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems such as fumes, odors and dusts associated with operation an auto dealership.
