Job summary

Thomas Auto Group in Merrillville, IN is seeking a dependable Quick Lane Technician to join a fast-paced, customer-focused service department. You will perform oil changes, tire rotations, multi-point inspections, and routine maintenance while upholding quality workmanship and safety.

Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to build a long-term automotive career.

Qualifications

• Previous lube technician or Quick Lane experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Basic automotive knowledge and mechanical aptitude.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and multi-point inspections
• Replace air filters, wiper blades, batteries, and light bulbs
• Mount, balance, and repair tires
• Perform routine maintenance services according to manufacturer guidelines
• Recommend additional maintenance needs based on vehicle inspections
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Provide exceptional customer service while working efficiently
