Job summary

Christ Church's Quest Kids program is seeking a Lead Campus Coordinator Contractor to guide Sunday on-site operations and volunteer teams. You will lead, recruit, schedule, and support a welcoming, safe classroom environment where children can learn and grow in faith.

As part of the Quest Kids ministry, you’ll collaborate with staff and parents, ensure safety policies are followed, and help volunteers thrive through appreciation and clear communication.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in children’s ministry or a similar church environment

Responsibilities

• Lead & Coordinate: Serve as the primary on-site coordinator for the Quest Kids volunteer team during Sunday services, providing leadership, direction, and support.
• Recruit & Develop Volunteers: Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and encouraging volunteers while helping them serve effectively in areas aligned with their strengths and gifts.
• Manage Volunteer Scheduling: Help coordinate volunteer schedules, ensure appropriate volunteer-to-child ratios, and secure substitutes when needed.
• Support Classroom Operations: Assist the Quest Kids staff in maintaining safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environments where children can learn and grow.
• Ensure Safety & Compliance: Enforce Quest Kids policies and safety standards, including classroom management guidelines and incident reporting procedures.
• Support Curriculum Implementation: Maintain familiarity with Quest Kids curriculum and help volunteers effectively apply lesson plans and learning activities.
• Communicate & Collaborate: Work closely with the Quest Kids Director, Quest Kids Staff, volunteers, and parents to ensure smooth communication and coordination across the ministry.
• Encourage & Appreciate Volunteers: Help cultivate a positive team culture through encouragement, communication, and volunteer appreciation.

Schedule

On-Site Ministry Support: Sundays: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (every other week)

Remote Preparation & Coordination: Approximately two (2) hours per week of remote preparation and coordination.

Average commitment: 10 hours per week
