Queen's Beans Non-Gaming Food and Beverage Attendant

Summary

The candidate is responsible for ordering, delivering, and serving food & beverage items to patrons in various venues and event spaces off the casino floor. Attendants must provide accurate service, maintain a professional appearance, and exhibit a friendly attitude towards guests and team members. Safe food & beverage handling techniques must be practiced as demonstrated and required by management. Other duties may be assigned.

The individual will work in non-gaming locations such as the coffee shop, soda shoppe, pool area, and event center.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and bid farewell on departure.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced, stressful environment while remaining calm and attentive to detail.
• Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including cash and food handling requirements.
• Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
• Work safely, maintaining sanitation and efficiency, with guest loyalty in mind.
• Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the service area and ensure the venue floor is presentable.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of relevant information.
• Use communication devices such as telephones, radios, guest paging systems, and management systems effectively.
• Engage with guests to foster good relations and encourage loyalty.
• Demonstrate successful interpersonal skills when working with diverse individuals and levels of authority.
• Multi-task efficiently with minimal supervision and demonstrate a sense of urgency regardless of business volume.
• Communicate effectively, showing dignity, kindness, and respect to guests and team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Previous experience in beverage service preferred, with knowledge of POS or Micros systems.
• Knowledge of mixed drinks is preferred.
• Customer service-oriented with good interpersonal skills and strong money handling skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including holidays and weekends.
• Maintain a positive demeanor and professional appearance throughout shifts.
• Willingness to learn and be tested on new products, recipes, and service techniques regularly.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Educational Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Certificates and Licenses

Must obtain and maintain appropriate licensing as applicable.

Work Environment

The environment is loud, with smoking in portions of the casino, which may be smoky.

Physical Demands

Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and the use of hands. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs independently, more with assistance.
