Position Overview

This position supports the work of the YMCA, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The role involves delivering excellent service to members, guests, and program participants, responding to their needs, promoting memberships and programs, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the lobby area.

Essential Functions
  • Provide excellent service to members, guests, and program participants, contributing to member retention.
  • Conduct interviews and/or tours for prospective members; promote and sell memberships.
  • Build relationships with members; facilitate connections among members and the YMCA community.
  • Handle and resolve membership concerns; inform supervisor of unresolved issues or unusual situations.
  • Adhere to all YMCA policies related to member services.
  • Train and lead other front desk staff; ensure accurate membership data entry with high attention to detail.
  • Schedule Membership and Stay and Play staff based on facility usage.
  • Reach out to members on anniversaries, birthdays, and other special occasions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Certifications required within 30 days of hire: CPR/AED and First Aid.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively relate to diverse groups across social and economic backgrounds.
  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, or related fields.
  • Basic computer skills.
