About The Role

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Quartz Machine Operator to join Wren Kitchens . This role is responsible for interpreting technical drawings and operating specialized machinery to produce high-quality quartz countertop components. The ideal candidate will maintain high standards of quality, organization, and safety, while supporting production goals in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn to interpret detailed technical drawings to produce precision-finished quartz countertops of the highest standard.
  • Operate and assist in the safe control of a variety of woodworking and stone fabrication machinery including CNC drills, edge banders, and glue machines.
  • Complete daily departmental duties in a timely , accurate , and efficient manner.
  • Maintain exceptional levels of housekeeping and organization within the department to support a clean and safe work environment.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to colleagues as directed by the area manager.
  • Consistently project a positive and professional image of the company and department.
  • Undertake additional warehouse and operational tasks as reasonably assigned by management or supervisory staff.
  • Follow all health and safety policies and procedures, particularly those related to the use of machinery and exposure to quartz/silica dust.
  • Use and care for all tools, materials, and equipment properly and in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Commit to continuous learning and development to enhance skills, safety awareness, and technical knowledge relevant to the role.
  • Work diligently to meet or exceed daily and weekly production targets set by the department.

Qualifications

About You

  • Previous experience operating CNC or similar machinery in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Comfortable working in an environment with heavy lifting and potential quartz dust exposure (with proper PPE and safety protocols).
  • Must follow strict health and safety guidelines, including the use of PPE.
  • Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing and warehouse setting with exposure to noise, dust (including quartz/silica), and varying temperatures.
  • Use of PPE such as respirators, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection required .
  • Physically demanding role requiring lifting, standing, and operating machinery for extended periods.
