Job summary

Dal-Tile LLC in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support our manufacturing operations. This part-time role (20 hours per week) focuses on electrical trade functions, installation, maintenance, and repair of energy systems and programmable controllers in a fast-paced plant.

Responsibilities include leading small projects, troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs and control circuits, maintaining safety devices, and assisting with PMs and work orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; knowledge of electrical code.
• Associate degree in industrial electronics preferred.
• 4+ years industrial maintenance experience and 2 years electrical experience.
• Formal PLC training preferred; basic computer skills (MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and replace PLCs and control systems.
• Troubleshoot analog/digital signals and network communications.
• Perform basic hydraulic and pneumatic circuit modifications.
• Lead projects and prioritize PMs, work orders, inspections.
• Set up VFDs/drivers parameters and troubleshoot alarms.
• Ensure safety devices are functioning and area is clean.

Job Description: Maintenance Technician II

HOURS ARE PART TIME - 20 HOURS PER WEEK

Primary Objective

Performs a variety of electrical trade functions in the installation, maintenance, repair, and/or distribution of electrical energy.

Installs, maintains, and replaces electronic programmable controllers in a manufacturing environment.

Major Function And Scope

Basic PLCs lay out and trouble shoot of analogic/digital signals and network communication.

Inspect and maintain the safety devices related to the process equipment.

Complete basic hydraulic and pneumatic circuit modifications.

Ability to lead projects and complete successfully.

Set up basic VFD/DRIVERSs parameters and troubleshoot alarms.

Ensures assigned area and satellite shop area are clean and organized.

Provide the supervisor a list of parts required to complete tasks.

Prioritize activities for assigned areas (PMs/Work Orders/Inspections).

Draft, request, and validate SOPs for assigned area to guarantee other team members are trained on documentation.

Support the rest of the Maintenance Department during unplanned downtime (call in or phone call).

Respond to radio calls in assigned area.

Be available for remote support or on-site support outside of normal work schedule.

Responsible to drive area task completion for reactive repairs and proactive work.

Responsible for completion for all PMs in the assigned area.

Identify PMs that need update to improve process.

Experience And Knowledge Required

Suggest and request maintenance personnel skills development when required.

High school diploma or equivalent experience. Knowledge of electrical code.

Associate degree in industrial electronics preferred.

4 or more years industrial maintenance experience and 2 years industrial electrical experience.

Formal PLC training preferred.

Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office).
