Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Quarry Technician to support mining operations at our Missouri site. This multi-skilled role requires operating rock drills, loaders, bulldozers, haul trucks, and other mobile equipment, with focus on safety and efficiency.

You will perform preventive maintenance checks, monitor quality, document activities, and participate in team inspections. The position requires willingness to work two shifts, weekends, and outdoor environments with PPE compliance.

• 1 year of heavy equipment operation in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of mobile quarry equipment (rock drills, wheel loaders, bulldozer, haul trucks, water trucks, motor grader, fuel tanker, hydraulic rock breaker).
• Perform mechanical maintenance checks, troubleshoot breakdowns, and conduct minor preventative maintenance.
• Monitor quality and adjust mining patterns based on feedback from drill holes and samples.
• Maintain documentation and organize work; participate in team activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Quarry Technician

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Quarry Technician position is a multi-skilled position responsible for the mining operation.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Operation of mobile equipment required to mine rock (For example: Rock drills, wheel loaders, bulldozer, haul trucks and water trucks, motor grader, fuel tanker, hydraulic rock breaker)
• Perform mechanical maintenance check-outs, troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and do minor preventative maintenance on mobile equipment
• Monitor and react to quality issues (For example: sample drill holes, monitor quality feedback information & adjust mining pattern as necessary)
• Maintain documentation, plan and organize work, participate in various team activities
• Other duties as assigned

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required Work Experience: 1 year of a heavy equipment operating in a manufacturing environment

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Required to work outside, at heights, warm temperatures, and at times around and over water, in dusty environments and confined spaces.
• Must operate on a two shift basis and incumbents will predominantly work these two shifts, weekends are required.
• Ability to work in a team based environment.
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
