Rogers Group, Inc. in Gallatin, TN seeks a Utility/Ground Technician for labor and operation tasks at the Quarry and crushing plant.

The role emphasizes safety, involves material movement, stockpiling, plant maintenance, and clean-up with opportunities to support various production duties. The ideal candidate demonstrates safety focus, ability to operate heavy equipment (bobcat, skid steer, haul truck), welding/cutting as needed, and a willingness to work weekends and overtime.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused with ability to perform varied duties in a quarry and crushing plant.
• Welding and cutting experience preferred.
• Experience operating heavy equipment (bobcat, skid steer, haul truck) preferred.
• Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and learn quickly.
• Willing to work weekends and overtime; must pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Plant maintenance experience a plus; knowledge of aggregate operations a plus.

Responsibilities

• General plant labor and cleanup in production areas, including shoveling stone and assisting with plant cleanup.
• Perform plant maintenance: cutting, welding, changing rollers & bearings, belt splicing.
• Operate equipment as needed (bobcat, skid steer, haul truck); assist in other production positions.
• Train in various production roles and cover vacancies during peak times.
• Run water truck to control road dust.
• Report equipment problems and assist in maintenance and repairs.
• Complete daily inspections and pre-shift reports where applicable.
• Assist other workers as directed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
