Position Overview

The Quarry Laborer will perform various tasks at the aggregate site.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

1. Understand and operate equipment safely, communicating safety matters with coworkers.
2. Perform all tasks safely, following company policies and procedures.
3. Conduct plant repairs, maintenance, and fabrication as directed.
4. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
5. Maintain a clean work environment.
6. Work overtime and weekends as required.

Qualifications

Candidates should demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities or be able to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations, using a combination of skills and abilities.

Education/Experience

• Previous aggregate experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Welding experience strongly preferred.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

• Maintain a professional attitude with coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
• Experience with welding and cutting torches.
• General knowledge of plant maintenance.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Perform basic math operations.
• Apply common sense understanding.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
