The Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a Pit/Production Loader Operator to efficiently and safely load materials such as rock and gravel into haul trucks in a mining setting. You will operate a pit loader, control movements, and follow production plans to hit tonnage targets while prioritizing safety and equipment care.

Ideal candidates will have prior loader experience, a valid driver’s license, and a strong commitment to safety.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; trade school diploma or certificate in equipment operation is desired.
• Certifications/licenses: valid driver's license is required.
• Previous experience operating large loaders is preferred.
• Proven experience as a pit/plant loader operator in a mining/quarry environment.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and control the pit loader to load and move materials within the pit area.
• Excavate quarry to maintain face, ramp and floor conditions with safety berms.
• Lift, tilt, and dump materials into designated areas or onto trucks/conveyors.
• Handle attachments (buckets, forks, etc.) as needed for tasks.
• Perform routine safety and mechanical checks on the loader.
• Coordinate with truck drivers and production plans to meet tonnage targets.
• Maintain load stability and distribute weight for safe transport.
• Report safety concerns or equipment malfunctions promptly to supervision.
