Job summary

Earthworks, Inc. is seeking a Quarry Laborer / Sawyer for our Elmdale, Kansas quarry. This full-time outdoor role involves cutting, sorting, and packaging natural stone products, operating quarry saws, and assisting with general quarry operations.

The position requires working in all weather, with shifts typically 6:30AM-4:30PM Mon-Thu and 8:00AM-4:00PM Friday. Starting pay ranges from $18.00–$20.00 per hour, with training provided and opportunities for advancement.

Job description

Earthworks, Inc. is a leading quarrier, fabricator, and distributor of natural stone and masonry products throughout the United States. We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team as a Quarry Laborer / Sawyer at our Elmdale, Kansas quarry located at: 2309 GP Rd, Elmdale, KS. 66850

This position is primarily outdoors and requires working in all weather conditions throughout the year. Shift times may vary depending on workload and production demands, but typically run from 6:30AM-4:30PM Monday to Thursday, and 8:00AM-4:00PM on Friday. Starting pay ranges from $18.00 – $20.00 per hour, depending on experience.

All applicants will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug screen and physical testing to ensure they are capable of performing the required job duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Quarry Laborer Duties:

• Cutting and splitting stone to required specifications while maintaining strict quality standards.
• Sorting, palletizing, wrapping, and packaging finished stone products.
• Assisting with general quarry operations, housekeeping, and production activities.
• Working safely while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated production areas.
• Performing physically demanding work, including frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
• Operate specialized quarry saw equipment used to cut large stone blocks from the quarry.
• Assist with setup, operation, and routine maintenance of quarry saws and related equipment.
• Monitor cutting operations to ensure quality, accuracy, and production efficiency.
• Follow all safety procedures while operating heavy equipment and working around active quarry operations.
• Work closely with quarry management and team members to meet production goals.

Equipment operating experience is preferred but not required. Earthworks will provide training to qualified candidates.
