Harrison Aggregates is seeking a dependable Quarry Laborer in Waynesville, NC. This full-time position entails general quarry labor under foreman supervision, strict adherence to safety policies, daily pre-shift inspections, and teamwork to support operations in all weather conditions.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to follow verbal instructions, and willingness to work overtime or relocate as needed. High school education or GED preferred.

Job Description Summary

The Quarry Laborer is responsible for general laborer duties at quarry as instruction by foreman.

Requirements

Properly follow all company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment. Report any problems to the Foreperson, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager.

• Perform daily pre-shift inspection followed with submission of a report for any repairs needed.
• Inspection of equipment and safety items required at the end of each shift.
• Greasing equipment as needed is required during pre-shift and at the end of each shift.
• May make normal operating adjustments to equipment. Job requires cleaning and washing of vehicle.
• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers and supervisors at all times
• Ability to be flexible with schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes. Overtime work required.
• Must report to the assigned job site and be ready to begin work at the designated start time
• Attendance required according to company attendance policy to ensure crew is able to operate at normal efficiency level
• Strict adherence to Company safety requirements and procedures
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other Quarry duties as required
• Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by MSHA.
• Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently under a variety or working conditions as instructed by foreperson
