Job summary

Midsouth Aggregates, part of CRH's South Division, is seeking an entry-level equipment operator in Georgia. You will operate haul trucks, loaders, track hoes, excavators, and related equipment, ensuring safe, efficient performance on site.

Responsibilities include inspecting parts, loading materials, and recording rail car numbers. Team-oriented, safety-focused candidates with a high school diploma (GED preferred) are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Follow OSHA / MSHA safety procedures for the work environment.

• Examine equipment parts for damage and perform minor servicing; refer major problems to Foreman.
• Clean material from rail cars that are being returned.
• Check the material being loaded for quality.
• Able to retrieve and write rail car numbers down accurately.
• Load haul trucks and customer trucks, feed the portable plant, stockpiling and loading bins, shoveling and cleaning.
• Work per supervisor's instruction and, at times, without direct supervision while maintaining safety and quality.

Position Overview

This is an Entry-Level position that will require the employee to operate multiple pieces of equipment in our quarry environment. This position will be responsible for the safe operation of various equipment including haul trucks, loaders, track hoes, excavators, and more. Additional duties as needed due to workload, vacations, or employee leaves.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

• Examine equipment parts for damage and/or excessive wear, perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the Foreman.
• Clean material from rail cars that are being returned
• Check the material being loaded for quality
• Able to retrieve and write rail car numbers down accurately
• Load haul trucks, and customer trucks, feed the portable plant, stockpiling and loading bins, shoveling and cleaning
• Work will be performed per the supervisor's instruction, and in some cases, will be expected to be performed free from direct supervision without a compromise or sacrifice to safety, and without sacrifice to, quality of work tasks

Qualifications

Education/Experience

• Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
