SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for our quarry operations. You will operate bulldozers, loaders, and excavators while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes daily equipment checks, coordination with site management, and the ability to adapt to fast-paced, high-volume environments. Candidates should possess valid heavy equipment certification and physical fitness for the job.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator, preferably within a quarry or similar industrial setting.
• Valid certification in operating heavy machinery.
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective distribution of goods.
• In-depth understanding of industry safety standards and regulations.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform minor repairs on equipment.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• High level of physical fitness and strength.
• Willingness to undergo SRM's pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, front-end loaders, excavators, and other quarry machinery safely.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment.
• Coordinate with site management to plan and monitor material movement in the quarry.
• Adjust equipment settings to meet project requirements.
• Identify and communicate maintenance, repair, or replacement needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and report hazards.
• Participate in ongoing training and adhere to safety policies.
• Work closely with the team to move materials efficiently and meet deadlines.
