Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
• Flexibility to work weekends or overtime as needed.
• Ability to perform manual labor including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in extreme heat or cold.
• Ability to climb ladders and perform repetitive bending and stooping.
• Excellent communication and teamwork at the quarry.
• Motivated self-starter and safety-conscious.
• Willing to work night shift.
• Must be in current classification for 12 months before applying.
• Must stay in new position at least 12 months after award.

Responsibilities

• Complete a thorough pre-shift inspection and walk the trainer through the pre-shift performed.
• Sign off on 50 and 100-ton Haul Trucks and Water Truck.
• Maintain knowledge of quarry layout and stockpiles and identify hazards.
• Identify rock sizes and stockpile locations.
• Inspect and identify hazards in work areas (stockpiles, haul roads, pits).
• Train new truck drivers per CRQ guidelines.
