Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Haul Truck Operator to support quarry operations in Manquin, Virginia. You will operate heavy-duty haul trucks, perform pre-shift inspections, load and transport materials, and communicate with dispatch to keep production flowing safely.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years experience operating heavy equipment on construction or excavation sites.
• Valid driver’s license and required operating certifications.
• Ability to conduct pre-start inspections and report equipment defects.
• Knowledge of quarry haul roads, loading, dumping, and traffic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operated heavy-duty haul trucks to transport raw materials, including sand, gravel, crushed stone, and aggregates, throughout quarry operations.
• Conducted pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections to ensure equipment safety, identify defects, and report maintenance requirements.
• Safely loaded, hauled, and unloaded aggregate materials while adhering to site traffic rules, haul road procedures, and designated dumping areas.
• Maintained consistent communication with dispatchers, equipment operators, and supervisors to coordinate material movement and production activities.
• Followed all site-specific safety procedures, PPE requirements, and workplace health and safety regulations.
