Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc is seeking an experienced Drill Operator to safely perform construction or quarry drilling using DTH or top hammer techniques. Expect extensive travel with a focus in the central/eastern region and long shifts when needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hydraulic drilling equipment experience.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Minimum 1 year construction industry experience.
• Experience as a construction laborer.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving.
• Willing to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must pass ATF background screening.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform drilling activity per job program.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Perform daily maintenance on equipment.
• Understand drill patterns and layouts per foreman.
• Communicate terrain and equipment issues to supervisor.
• Complete drill reports and timecards.
