Job summary

Quantum Sky in Santa Barbara, CA is seeking a Scientific Programmer/Analyst to contribute to state-of-the-art modeling and simulation activities within our defense-focused programs.

You will collaborate with a team of scientists, engineers, and software specialists to develop algorithms, models, and capabilities using C++ and OO design, with opportunities across sensors, satellites, space physics, and cybersecurity. US citizenship and willingness to obtain a security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• BS, MS or PhD in physics, engineering, mathematics, computer or physical sciences.
• Focus areas include sensors, satellites, space physics, network analysis, AI/vision, statistics, and CS topics including quantum computing.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
• Some US travel for meetings and presenting results.
• Strong programming skills in C++ with OO experience.
• Desirable familiarity with electro-optical sensors, radar, satellites or cybersecurity.
• US citizenship and willingness to apply for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical research and analysis, programming, software engineering, modeling complex systems, and algorithm development on existing and new programs.
• Collaborate with a team of scientists, engineers, and software specialists to produce innovative capabilities and services based on existing products and application suite.
