We are seeking a highly skilled Quantum System Design Engineer to join our passionate team. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced tools tailored for the design of superconducting quantum systems and other types of qubits.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and refine Quantum EDA solutions and workflows for quantum computing applications.
  • Drive validation and verification processes of system models, ensuring accuracy and reliability in predicting qubit behavior and performance.
  • Architect and optimize computational workflows to address challenges inherent in superconducting qubit systems and their Hamiltonian representations.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in computational electromagnetics and quantum computing, actively contributing to research initiatives.
  • Be flexible and willing to work with teams in the US and Asia time zones.
Qualifications

  • Required skills: Demonstrated experience in the following areas:
  1. Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
  2. Proven track record of running/troubleshooting quantum systems, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to tackle complex challenges in quantum computing.
  3. Experience with Keysight ADS/QuantumPro or other EDA environments (e.g., CST Microwave Studio, EMPro, Ansys HFSS, COMSOL Multiphysics).
  4. Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience designing qubits, quantum amplifiers, and integrating them into quantum systems.
  5. Strong proficiency in scientific programming, preferably in Python, for developing quantum design tools.
  6. Ability to research quantum-specific topics, translating application insights into development efforts.
  • Desired qualifications: Demonstrated skills in these areas will enhance your application, and these skills will be used in the project:
  1. Knowledge or experience in Hamiltonian analysis of superconducting quantum circuits.
  2. Ability to prototype features with scripting in Python within the ADS environment.
  3. Capability to benchmark against published literature data.
  4. Familiarity with parallel computing techniques and high-performance computing (HPC) environments.

California pay range: MIN $138,960.00, MIDPOINT $185,280.00, MAX $231,600.00

Note: Pay ranges vary by region for other locations.

This role is eligible for our Keysight Results Bonus Program.
