Qualifications

• Ph.D. in mathematical sciences or statistics.
• Distinguished record of academic accomplishment in targeted areas.
• Strong external funding record from federal agencies or industry partners.
• Ability to teach core courses in undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
• Potential to contribute to the QuantumCT project in building a vibrant quantum program.
• Preferred collaboration with AI initiatives across campus.
• Commitment to professional service and public engagement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-level research at the intersection of quantum science and mathematics/statistics.
• Seek external funding.
• Supervise PhD students and mentor postdoctoral scholars.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics or statistics and related quantum disciplines.
• Provide service to the departments, university, and professional community.
