XMA Corporation in New Hampshire is seeking a Quantum Sales Engineer to grow our footprint in quantum computing, cryogenic, and advanced RF/microwave markets. You will identify opportunities, work with customers to define technical needs, and bridge them to engineering and product strategy.
The role requires comfort operating in ambiguous spaces, delivering technical presentations, and building credibility with researchers and commercial stakeholders.
The Quantum Sales Engineer is responsible for expanding XMA’s presence in emerging quantum computing and cryogenic markets. This role focuses on identifying and developing new opportunities, supporting the definition of customer requirements in technically complex environments, and acting as a bridge between customers, engineering, and product strategy.
The position requires comfort operating in less-defined spaces, contributing to product direction, and building relationships with advanced research and high-performance technology customers. Success is measured by the ability to generate new pipeline, influence product development, and establish XMA as a trusted partner in the quantum ecosystem.
This role is best suited for individuals who are comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, can engage in technical discussions without fully defined requirements, and are motivated to build new opportunities rather than support established ones. The ideal candidate is naturally curious, able to connect technical concepts to customer needs, and effective at building credibility with both engineers and commercial stakeholders.
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. However, the incumbent must build and maintain effective, credible relationships with key stakeholders across all areas of the business. Effective communication is essential.
Professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and filing systems.
Largely sedentary. Regularly required to talk or hear. Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach. Some filing is required, including lifting files and opening filing cabinets.
Full time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. XMA operates on a 9/80 schedule: nine hours Monday through Thursday, eight hours on Friday, with every other Friday off.
Domestic and international travel up to 30 to 50 percent of the time, depending on business needs. Travel will include visits to research institutions, advanced technology customers, and industry conferences.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical field, and 3-5 years of experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or customer facing engineering roles within advanced or emerging technology environments; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience supporting RF and microwave systems, cryogenic environments, or research driven applications is strongly preferred. Exposure to quantum computing or similar advanced technologies is a plus.
Due to the nature of our business, some positions may require U.S. citizenship.
