Job summary

Pronoia Energy is seeking an Experimental Chemist to perform hands-on chemistry for discovery and characterization of materials for quantum energy storage. You will synthesize and test novel solid-state materials, analyze dielectric properties, and feed validated candidates into simulation and cell-build teams.

The role requires expertise in synthetic or electrochemical chemistry, broadband dielectric spectroscopy, and a strong understanding of solid-state physics to confirm energy confinement

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in electronic materials science, condensed matter physics, chemistry, or related field.
• Hands-on synthetic or electrochemical chemistry with battery-materials experience.
• Experience with BDS and high-speed potentiostat diagnostics to separate bulk relaxations from space-charge effects.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize and purify candidate materials for solid-state systems.
• Characterize materials with BDS, impedance analysis, X-ray diffraction and electrochemical testing.
• Interpret data to verify macroscopic ion confinement and quantum energy state stabilization.
• Collaborate across simulation, synthesis, and cell-build pipelines to feed validated materials.
