Job summary

The Physics Education Research group at Rochester Institute of Technology is seeking a postdoctoral researcher in quantum education to support the PRACTIQAL project funded by NSF. The appointee will coordinate programmatic activities, help develop curricula, and conduct education research related to quantum information science and engineering.

The role requires a strong background in quantum mechanics or quantum information, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a willingness to

Qualifications

Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a related field.
Experience coordinating programs and curricula in education research preferred.
Experience with education research is strongly preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
Background in quantum mechanics and/or quantum information science.

Responsibilities

Design and plan research studies and data management.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Publish results in peer‑reviewed journals and present at meetings.
Assist in grant writing and teaching.
Mentor students and manage research labs.
Ensure compliance with regulations.
