QuEra Computing, Inc. is seeking a Scientific Software Engineer in Boston, MA, to develop advanced simulation tools for its quantum computers. You will work closely with a team of physicists to build compiler infrastructure and domain-specific languages, contributing to groundbreaking advancements in quantum technology.

The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science or its equivalent and has experience with Python, LLVM, and compiler development. The position offers a competitive salary range of $102,400 - $166,400, alongside performance-based equity grants.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science with focus on quantum computation or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Python type hints and CPython interpreter.
• Knowledge of quantum computing basics and common quantum algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain QuEra’s compiler infrastructure based on Static Single Assignment.
• Design domain-specific languages tailored to QuEra’s hardware.
• Integrate existing simulation tools with the compiler pipeline.

Skills

Python semantics

Experience with compiled languages (C++, Julia, Rust, etc.)

Static Single Assignment intermediate representations

Software development lifecycle knowledge

Education

Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
