Mercor, a leader in AI talent networks, seeks a Computational Chemistry & Electronic Structure Expert for remote engagement. You will design computational problems, advance multi-step workflows, and test AI models against real scientific software.

The role requires graduate-level STEM training, strong Python skills, PySCF experience, and Linux proficiency. You’ll work 15–20 hours/week, independently, from any location, collaborating with AI teams to evaluate reasoning and problem solving.

• Proven proficiency with scientific software libraries like PySCF.
• Strong Python skills and ability to write clean, efficient code.
• Ability to work independently and refine problem designs.
• Comfortable in a Linux/terminal environment.

Position: Computational Chemistry & Electronic Structure Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $70–$100/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 15–20 hours/week
