Job summary

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Ph.D. or Master's with a focus on quantum computing or related field.
• Strong understanding of quantum computing concepts, information, and algorithms.
• Hands-on experience implementing quantum algorithms using Python and at least one SDK (prefer Qiskit).
• Experience with numerical computing and scientific programming in Python.
• Ability to formulate technical problems, design experiments, analyze results, and communicate conclusions.
• Experience with academic or industrial research, ideally with publications or conference contributions.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a research/engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop quantum algorithms and their implementation on near-term quantum computers.
• Develop and optimize quantum circuits using Qiskit and the IBM Quantum software stack.
• Execute experiments on real quantum processors and analyze experimental results.
• Investigate techniques for improving circuit performance, including transpilation, optimization, and error mitigation.
• Benchmark quantum algorithms against classical baselines and simulators.
• Analyze scalability and computational requirements of quantum algorithms to identify bottlenecks.
• Contribute to research prototypes, demonstrations, and software implementations.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers across quantum algorithms, software, and applications.
