Job summary

Dagen Personnel LLC invites applications for a Quantity Surveyor on a growing LNG project. Based out of Point Celeste, Louisiana, the role reports to the Manager, Project Controls and spans multiple scopes including mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation.

You will analyze IFC drawings to prepare BOQs, validate quantities, measure site progress and develop critical progress reports while coordinating with the scheduling team and change requests.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management or Engineering required.
• 8+ years in industrial construction of facilities incl. power/LNG.
• Experience representing the client in the field.
• Strong technical and analytical skills, plus clear communication.
• Able to work well in a team with initiative and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Provide quantity surveying for mechanical, piping, electrical and/or instrumentation scopes.
• Analyze and prepare BOQs from IFC drawings; validate contractor quantities.
• Measure contractor progress on site and validate progress claims.
• Review and verify total installed quantities.
• Develop custom progress reports for critical work areas.
• Coordinate with scheduling to validate planned sequences.
• Assist with quantities and pricing for change requests.
• Attend progress/planning meetings and report concerns.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders; monitor productivity.

Dagen is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a growing LNG company. This position will report to the Manager, Project Controls and will be based out of Point Celeste, Louisiana.

Responsibilities:

• Dependent on candidate’s background, provide quantity surveying, for either mechanical, piping, electrical, and/or instrumentation scopes of work.
• Analyze and prepare BOQs from submitted IFC drawings; validate reported contractor quantities
• Measure contractor progress on site and validate contractor progress claims
• Review and verify total installed quantities
• Develop custom progress reports/updates for critical work areas
• Work with the scheduling team to validate planned work sequences
• Assist with reviewing quantities and pricing for proposed change requests
• Attend progress/planning meetings, identify and report areas of concern
• Build good working relationships with key stakeholders
• Analyze project performance and productivity, validate reported contractor productivity

Qualifications:

• BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or commensurate work experience in a construction role
• 8 or more years of experience in industrial construction of industrial facilities including power generation and LNG plants
• Experience working on client side as representation in the field
• Demonstrated technical and analytical skills
• Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work within a team with demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution
