Job description

A leading Quantitative Energy Hedge Fund is building out a brand-new FTR Trading Desk — and they're looking for a sharp, entrepreneurial Quant to help lead the charge.

This is a rare opportunity to join at the ground floor of a new desk, working directly with a proprietary FTR model already in development (PTP/UTC + congestion focus) and taking it all the way into production.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Monetizing an internally built FTR model from research through to live trading
  • Driving PnL directly — this is not a support role
  • Working across stochastic optimization, probabilistic modelling, and ML-driven strategies
  • Owning the full research-to-production lifecycle
What They're Looking For
  • Strong foundation in stochastic optimization, probability theory, and ML
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Proven ability to take quantitative research end-to-end into a live trading environment
  • Experience in energy markets and/or FTR/congestion trading a strong plus
  • Someone who thrives with ownership and accountability
What's On Offer

  • Equity participation

If you're a quant who wants to build something real, not just maintain it — let's talk.
