Job summary

SCALP Trade LLC in Chicago, IL invites new graduates to join as a Quantitative Trader. You will undergo a 6 to 8-week training on options theory and live trading on the desk.

After training, you’ll join the automated trading team to develop and optimize strategies, working with traders and engineers. Your input will influence firm strategy as you grow into more responsibility and success at SCALP Trade.

Qualifications

• Be a final-year student seeking full-time employment upon graduation (minimum of a Bachelor’s).
• Degree in mathematics, engineering, statistics, economics, finance, or other relevant fields.
• Experience in strategic games/competitive activities or a high level of skill in other pursuits.
• Demonstrated interest in trading and/or equity markets.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and logical reasoning skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to solve complex problems.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment.
• Desire to constantly grow and improve one’s knowledge and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Complete a 6–8 week training program on options theory in the classroom with live trading experience.
• Join the automated trading team and participate in all aspects of the firm’s strategies.
• Work with traders and engineers to improve and optimize current strategies.
• Contribute input that positively impacts the firm’s strategies and direction.
• Grow into greater responsibility and success over time.
