Job summary

Charles Schwab in Southlake, TX is seeking a Quantitative Software Engineer - Research Platform to advance our research technology ecosystem. You will build scalable data pipelines, analytics capabilities, and platform components to accelerate quantitative research and investment insights.

Collaborate with researchers, engineers, product owners, and business partners to deliver data-driven solutions, implement CI/CD practices, and shape the platform direction in a hybrid/onsite environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years building data-intensive applications or quantitative systems using Python or similar languages.
• Experience partnering with researchers, analysts, or stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Designing and supporting scalable data pipelines and data platforms.
• Proficiency in data models for storage, retrieval, and analysis.
• Experience with data quality, governance, observability, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience enabling quantitative research, analytics, or data-intensive workloads.
• Experience with automated testing and data validation.

Responsibilities

• Help shape Schwab’s research technology ecosystem with scalable data and platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with researchers, engineers, product owners, and business partners to deliver solutions.
• Create reusable components to improve efficiency and speed to market.
• Implement data visualization, dashboards, and analytical tools for actionable insights.
• Apply modern software engineering practices, CI/CD, testing, and containerization.
