Job summary

Schwab Technology Services is seeking a Quantitative Software Engineer - Research Platform in Chicago to shape our research tech ecosystem. You will build scalable data and analytics capabilities, work with researchers and product teams, and deliver reusable platforms enhancing research speed and insights.

You will partner with engineers, researchers, and business partners to deliver data-driven solutions, implement modern CI/CD and cloud-native approaches, and contribute to platform adoption

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• 6+ years of software engineering for data-intensive apps using Python or similar.
• Experience delivering data pipelines and data platforms.
• Experience CI/CD, testing frameworks, and containerization.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable data analytics and platform capabilities to accelerate quantitative research.
• Collaborate with researchers, engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Develop data visualizations, dashboards, and analytical tools for actionable insights.
• Improve data quality, governance, lineage, and observability across platforms.
