Job summary

Millennium is seeking a Quantitative Researcher to join a small, collaborative team in New York. This role involves contributing across the full research lifecycle, including idea generation, signal development, model implementation, and backtesting.

Ideal candidates will have a quantitative degree, strong Python skills, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in quantitative research. The estimated base salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $200,000, along with a performance bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in quantitative research focused on systematic equities.
• Strong preference for candidates from quantitative trading teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with the SPM and team on alpha research for systematic equity strategies.
• Generate and test new ideas using statistical learning and diverse datasets.
• Build predictive models and contribute to ongoing model refinement.

Skills

Strong Python skills

Experience developing systematic equity or statistical arbitrage alphas

Experience working with alternative, fundamental, and exchange/market microstructure data

Experience in quantitative research focused on systematic equities

Practical experience applying LLMs or modern ML techniques

Education

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a quantitative field
