Job summary

HarbourVest is seeking a highly experienced Quantitative Researcher to join the QIS team. You will develop models for private infrastructure and real assets, analyze large datasets, and translate findings into investment insights for diligence, portfolio construction, and client engagements.

You will apply advanced statistics, Python, and SQL to drive research and support fundraising efforts in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of experience in quantitative research or related roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Physics, CS, Engineering, Finance, or related quantitative field.
• Master's degree or PhD strongly preferred for advanced research positions.

Responsibilities

• Quantitative modeling and analysis of infrastructure and real assets markets and opportunities (80%).
• Lead model application to characterize risk/return relationships and evaluate opportunities.
• Communicate results and actionable insights to the investment team.
• Lead strategic research and development plans with investment leadership.
• Incorporate AI/ML techniques to enhance the investment process.
• Support fundraising and ad hoc quantitative analysis requests (20%).
