Job summary

Two Sigma is a leading quantitative investment firm based in New York. The internship program invites students to apply scientific methods to develop sophisticated investment models, using ML on large datasets, and collaborating with engineers to test theories. Mentorship is provided and the program culminates in a final presentation.

The team engages with academic circles through reading circles and seminars, while offering a hands-on 10-week summer internship at our Soho, NYC office.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in a technical or quantitative discipline with about one year remaining.
• Intermediate skills in at least one programming language (C, C++, Java, or Python).
• Completed an in-depth research project with real-world data.
• Independent thinker who can creatively approach data analysis and communicate complex ideas.
• No finance background required; quantitative skills suffice.

Responsibilities

• Develop investment models using the scientific method to shape insights.
