Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Quantitative Developer to join a cloud-based analytics platform team in a hybrid role based in Boston, MA. You will design and build data-centric applications, APIs, and backend services while shaping the platform with automation, testing, and observability.

You will work closely with product and business stakeholders to create scalable analytics tools, reusable components, and robust data pipelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience building data-centric applications or platforms.
• 3+ years of experience writing and optimizing complex SQL queries against large datasets.
• 3+ years of experience with Python and/or TypeScript development.
• Experience building modern web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of API development and backend services architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or similar environments.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
• Experience working with data models, data management, and data warehouse concepts.

Responsibilities

• 100% Hands-On Development
• Design, develop, and maintain web applications, backend services, and APIs
• Build reusable UI components and shared platform services used across multiple applications
• Create and support data integrations, pipelines, and data models
• Collaborate with product and design teams to convert business requirements into technical solutions
• Participate in technical design discussions and evaluate new technologies through prototyping
• Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve production issues and application defects
• Drive projects from initial concept through deployment and ongoing support
• Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
• Improve CI/CD processes, developer tooling, and engineering best practices
• Enhance platform reliability through monitoring, logging, metrics, and observability solutions
