Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Quantitative Analytics Engineer to join a leading investment-focused organization. You will design data-driven workflows, build Python-based services, and develop scalable analytics tools that support investment decisions.

You will collaborate with data teams and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical solutions, implementing data pipelines, APIs, and cloud-based analytics within a production environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in quantitative analysis, analytics engineering, software development, or a related field.
• Strong Python experience developing production-quality applications, analytics solutions, or data platforms.
• 3+ years of SQL experience, including complex queries and optimization against large datasets.
• Experience with data modeling, data management, and data warehouse concepts.
• Experience building data-intensive applications or analytical platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative reasoning abilities.
• Experience developing modern applications using TypeScript and/or React.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or comparable environments.
• Experience utilizing Git, CI/CD pipelines, and software development best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop analytical applications, tools, and workflows used across the investment platform.
• Build and maintain scalable Python-based services, APIs, and data processing solutions.
• Develop complex SQL solutions to support reporting, analytics, and business processes.
• Create and enhance data pipelines and system integrations.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Contribute to logical and physical data model design.
• Support platform reliability through testing, CI/CD improvements, monitoring, and observability enhancements.
• Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous platform improvements.
• Help shape the future architecture and capabilities of a cloud-based analytics ecosystem.
