This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to apply analytical skills in a real-world business setting—gaining exposure to financial products, risk analysis, and data-driven decision making while working closely with experienced team members.

The Team

You’ll join the Stable Value Product team, which plays a critical role in evaluating new opportunities and assessing the risk profile of our in-force business. The team leverages both quantitative insights and qualitative perspectives to inform strategy and drive business outcomes.

The Impact
  • Produce and enhance recurring reporting (e.g., cash flows, liability duration, competitor insights) to support business monitoring and decision making.
  • Support rate setting, renewal analysis, and Market Value Adjustment (MVA) calculations to ensure accurate and competitive outcomes.
  • Perform ongoing risk monitoring (e.g., market-to-book, trades, flows) to proactively identify trends and support risk management.
  • Run, update, and validate analytical models while partnering with senior team members to deliver reliable insights.
  • Aggregate, validate, and manage data while identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with a quantitative focus (e.g., Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data/Business Analytics).
  • 2+ years of data analysis experience.
  • 2+ years Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite, including working knowledge (e.g., pivot tables; ability to work with existing macros).
Ideal Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intellectual curiosity with a desire to learn financial products and risk concepts.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights.
  • Demonstrated initiative, ownership, and accountability.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams.
What to Expect at MassMutual
  • Exposure to a growing, high-visibility institutional business.
  • Hands-on learning and mentorship from experienced quantitative professionals.
