You’ll play a key role in advancing treasury initiatives across Finance, including enhancements to the treasury management system, payment transformation, reporting automation, and data-driven process improvement.

You’ll partner with teams across the business to support daily operations and implement technology solutions that improve cash management, collections, payments, and transactional cash movement. You’ll also help support banking relationships, including contracts, annual reviews, compliance requests, risk oversight, and service performance.

The Team

The Treasury team is made up of collaborative problem solvers who use finance, data, and technology to help move MassMutual forward. The team values accountability, agility, continuous learning, and strong partnerships across the business. You’ll join a group that embraces innovation, thoughtful risk management, sustainable performance, and work-life balance.

The Impact
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the Treasury Management System, preferably Kyriba, supporting configuration, data quality, reporting, controls, and user adoption.
  • Develop cash-flow, bank-balance, bank-fee, service-performance, and payment analytics to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create dashboards, scorecards, key performance indicators, and management reporting that translate treasury data into clear business recommendations.
  • Perform forecast-to-actual, variance, scenario, and sensitivity analysis to strengthen short-term liquidity visibility and decision support.
  • Partner with business teams to design and manage payment solutions, banking structures, system interfaces, and end-to-end cash-flow processes.
  • Open, modify, and close bank accounts and integrate them into internal processes, including the general ledger, cash positioning, bank reconciliation, entitlements, and reporting.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with banking partners, with a focus on service quality, pricing, risk, and operational performance.
  • Complete bank documentation, service agreements, due diligence, and regulatory or compliance requests accurately and on time.
  • Assess financial, operational, fraud, cybersecurity, third-party, and concentration risks related to banking services and supporting technology.
  • Collaborate with Treasury, Investment Management, Finance, Technology, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and business partners to optimize banking structures and cash movement.
  • Stay current on banking rules, payment standards, and regulatory requirements, and assess how changes may affect processes, systems, data, and controls.
  • Document, test, and enhance governance, procedures, data controls, and internal controls; support issue remediation and audit readiness.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual work and improve straight-through processing, data lineage, reconciliation, exception management, and control evidence.
  • Use approved AI tools responsibly to support research, summarize information, identify patterns, draft analyses, and improve productivity, while applying human review and following privacy, security, legal, records-management, model-risk, and data-governance requirements.
  • Review AI-generated output for accuracy, completeness, bias, explainability, and appropriate source attribution before using it in business decisions or stakeholder communications.
  • Lead or support cross-functional initiatives through project management, requirements documentation, testing, implementation, and change-management practices.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in cash management, treasury, finance, banking, or financial operations, including experience working in a controlled environment with sensitive financial data.
  • 4+ years of experience analyzing large or complex financial datasets and translating insights into actionable recommendations for business partners.
  • 4+ years of experience working with Microsoft Excel, including data validation, complex formulas, pivot tables, lookups, charts, and analysis of high-volume datasets.
  • 3+ years of experience working with a Treasury Management System, preferably Kyriba, including reporting, data management, or workflow support.
Ideal Qualifications
  • Experience with banking relationships, bank products and services, payment methods, bank operations, and treasury technology.
  • Experience opening and operationalizing bank accounts, including documentation, system integration, controls, and governance.
  • MBA, master’s degree, or equivalent advanced training.
  • Certified Treasury Professional designation.
  • 8+ years of progressive cash management or treasury experience.
  • Experience with business intelligence or data-visualization tools, such as Microsoft Power BI.
  • Experience integrating data from banks, treasury systems, and SAP S/4HANA.
  • Ability to use approved AI-enabled productivity tools responsibly, with sound judgment around confidential information, output validation, and human accountability.
