As a Quantitative Analytics & Model Development Consultant within PNC's Balance Sheet Analytics & Modeling Home Lending Mortgage organization, you will based in Tysons Corner, VA, Pittsburgh, PA or East Brunswick, NJ. This position is primarily based in PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. As a Quantitative Analytics & Model Development Consultant, within PNC's Home Lending Modeling team, you will be based in Tyson's Corner, Virginia. You will conduct credit risk model development and complex quantitative analyses on large data sets for CECL / CCAR applications and business initiatives. This role will focus primarily on the Probability of Default (PD) model and the Loss Given Default (LGD) for Residential Loans. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining these models for use in reserving, stress testing, and business decision-making, as well as serve as a reliable partner to support the execution of the models, review and analyze results of the models.

Preferred Skills And Experience

  • BA/BS in a STEM related field and 5+ years of experience in credit risk modeling. Less experience combined with advanced degrees may be considered
  • Knowledge of statistical modeling
  • Strong working knowledge of Python
  • Hands-on credit risk modeling experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of CECL and CCAR is a plus
  • Experience with big data/PySpark/Hadoop/Machine Learning is a plus
  • Solid technical writing skills are a plus
  • Team player, self-starter and good communication skills.

Job Description

  • Performs complex quantitative analyses and models development to support decision-making by running quantitative strategies.
  • Develops new model frameworks by supporting the line of business. Refines, monitors, and validates existing models. Conducts on-going communication with model owners and model developers during the course of the review. Works with large data to create models.
  • Performs advanced qualitative and quantitative assessments on all aspects of models including theoretical aspects, model design and implementation as well as data quality and integrity. Reviews reports and associated quantitative analysis. Validates existing models and assesses model risks.
  • Evaluates identified model risks and reaches conclusions on strengths and limitations of the model.
  • Prepares and analyzes detailed documents for validation and regulatory compliance, using applicable templates.
