Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Sr Quant Associate to join the Commerce Enablement Analytics team within Data and Analytics.

You will collaborate with Product Owners to build descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics focused on controls, risk and regulatory areas to drive customer engagement and informed decisions. You will translate business needs into data models, create high-quality data points, and produce recurrent reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of analytics experience.
• Intermediate SQL, Alteryx and Tableau knowledge.
• Experience with AWS, Snowflake, Oracle and SQL DBs.
• Ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Curious and innovative mindset; eager to learn.
• Initiative and capacity to complete projects independently.
• Highly organized with ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Job description

As a Sr Quant Associate, you will be a key member of the Commerce Enablement Analytics team within the broader Data andAnalytics organization. You will work closely with Commerce Enablement Product Owners to deliver insights in terms of descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics with a focus on Controls, Risk, Regulatory areas. In particular, you will strive to build consensus with Product Owners on if, where, when, how, and whom to drive customer engagement by defining metrics, sourcing data, developing queries, and creating reports.

Job Responsibilities:

• Understand and translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions.
• Create data points using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy.
• Rationalize complex normalized data sets allowing for ease of cross org consumption.
• Partner closely and collaborate with Product teams, Data management teams, Strategy teams, Technology Teams and broader D&A organization resources. across multiple functional units to understand business requirements and objectives.
• Translate data into meaningful insights and present a compelling story to stakeholders for decision making.
• Bring in experience in the production, optimization and automation of recurrent reports.

Required qualifications, Capabilities and skills:

• Intermediate knowledge of SQL, Alteryx and Tableau.
• Bachelors with 3+ years of analytics experience and Adobe Analytics knowledge.
• Experience with AWS, Snowflake, Oracle and SQL DBs.
• Adept at explaining and converting complex concepts into digestible information to be consumed by audiences of varying levels of expertise
• Intellectually curious and eager to learn new things with an eye for innovation
• Being able to demonstrate initiative, completing projects/tasks independently is highly desire
• Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Operational business knowledge of processes, data, controls, and technology platforms.
• Familiarity with Cloud (AWS, Snowflake) based data solutions and tools.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

• Functional industry experience in operations, marketing, credit/risk, technology or finance.
• Intermediate knowledge of Machine Learning and Copilot.
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to pull data using multiple joins, sub-queries, and advanced functions in an enterprise-scale database environment (Snowflake, AWS, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience with business intelligence and data wrangling tools such as SAS EG, SAS Viya, Python, Snowflake and Alteryx is key
• Experience with visualization techniques for data analysis and presentation (Tableau preferred)
• Basic skills with JIRA, Confluence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
