Job summary

WERK-BRAU COMPANY INC in Findlay, Ohio is seeking a Welding Quality Inspector to review welding procedures, perform inspections, and ensure adherence to specs.

The role requires CWI certification and a High School diploma, with on-site work during night shift and strict drug screen policy.

You will communicate QA findings, train team members, and help maintain product quality across processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing quality control and welding inspection preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review welding procedures and verify conformance to specifications.
  • Perform visual inspections on welds and completed jobs.
  • Document non-conformances and communicate to supervision.
  • Coordinate with supervision to close out non-conformances.
  • Operate measuring tools to verify dimensions per drawings.

Job description

Able to review and interpret Welding Procedure Specifications, Procedure Qualification Records, welder qualification variables.Perform visual inspections on welded products in progress and completed jobs.Inspect weld jobs for defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut etc.Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, or work for conformance to specifications.Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.Have knowledge of the calibration of welding & testing equipment.Reviews all welded products or components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept or reject the product.Document and communicate non-conforming items to designated project supervision, follow up on non-conformances until the close out.Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides information to management.Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.Provide training and limited oversight to other team members.Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures.Provide training and limited oversight to other team members.Other various duties as assigned.Effective communication in verbal and written communicationAbility to work on-site and within scheduled hoursGood organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to move supplies/equipment weighing up to 75 poundsDetail OrientedAble to read, understand and interpret work orders, blueprints/drawings, quality procedures, tolerance per standards and specifications and familiar with welding symbols.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDCWI Certification requiredKnowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)Work experience in Manufacturing (preferred)Ability to work night shiftMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana)o Due to the safety sensitive nature of our workplace, including the operation of heavy machinery, powered equipment, overhead cranes, and powered industrial trucks, all applicants are required to meet a strict zero tolerance standard regarding drugs, including marijuana.
