Job summary

Siemens is hiring a Quality Test Technician for our Fort Worth, TX site. The role focuses on ensuring quality standards for electromechanical equipment, performing mechanical testing and inspections, and supporting packing and shipping of finished units.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year manufacturing experience, can read drawings, and are able to work with SAP and standard inspection tools. Training for NFPA70E and safety procedures is provided.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to pass NFPA70E certification; training will be provided.
• Speak, read, write, and comprehend English; read blueprints/engineering drawings.
• Basic computer skills and use of basic mechanical/measuring/inspection tools.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality standards and applicable codes are met through inspections, design reviews, testing operations (mechanical) and troubleshooting.
• Deliver specialized support services towards mechanical testing for electromechanical equipment (e.g. Low Voltage Switchgear, Switchboards).
• Test and inspect the mechanical aspect of Switchboards, Panelboards, and Breakers to applicable standards (UL1558, UL891, IEEE, UL50, UL67, etc.)
• Preparing finished units for shipping (packing, sealing, labeling).
• Perform inspections/audits of mechanical assemblies while maintaining all related records and reports.
• Understand and train ISO Quality Requirements, Product Safety Requirements and JHA.
• Performs other work as advised by Supervision.
• Interact with various of departments and customers routinely.
