Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Quality Test Technician for the Fort Worth, TX site. You will perform mechanical testing, inspections, and troubleshooting to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities include testing switchgear/panels, preparing units for shipping, and maintaining documentation while following ISO quality and safety requirements. On-site, 1st shift, with NFPA70E training provided.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to pass NFPA70E certification; training provided
• Speak, read, write, and comprehend English; read blueprints/engineering drawings
• Basic computer skills and use of basic mechanical/measuring/inspection tools
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality standards and codes through inspections, design reviews, testing operations, and troubleshooting
• Support mechanical testing for electromechanical equipment (e.g., low voltage switchgear, switchboards)
• Test and inspect mechanical aspects of Switchboards, Panelboards, Breakers to applicable standards
• Prepare finished units for shipping (packing, sealing, labeling)
• Perform inspections/audits of mechanical assemblies and maintain records/reports
• Understand and train ISO Quality Requirements, Product Safety Requirements and JHA
• Perform other work as advised by supervision
• Interact with various departments and customers regularly

Basic Qualifications

• Ensuring the quality standards and applicable codes are met through completing inspections, design reviews, testing operations (mechanical) and troubleshooting.
• Deliver specialized support services towards mechanical testing support for electromechanical equipment (e.g. Low Voltage Switchgear, Switchboards, etc.).
• Test and inspect the mechanical aspect of Switchboards, Panelboards, and Breakers to applicable standards (UL1558, UL891, IEEE, UL50, UL67, etc.)
• Preparing finished units for shipping (packing, sealing, labeling, etc.).
• Perform inspections/audits of mechanical assemblies while maintaining all the related records and reports.
• Understand and train ISO Quality Requirements, Product Safety Requirements and JHA.
• Performs other work as advised by Supervision.
• Interact with various of departments and customers routinely.

The pay range for this position is $22.77 - $30.53 per hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
