Job summary

Nucor is a leading North American steel producer seeking a QC Technician to report to the Quality Supervisor and to identify quality problems with authority to stop fabrication when non-conformances are found. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Responsibilities include coordinating UT testing, reporting progress and production issues, and preparing UT testing reports.

Qualifications

• CWI certification currently held.
• UT Level 2 certification currently held.
• Willingness to travel on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Perform and coordinate all UT testing within the facility.
• Report on progress of work in process, rework/repair orders, and production problems.
• Prepare reports following UT testing in accordance with order requirements.
• Must be willing to learn and work within Invex to assist with production reporting.
• Must be able to travel on short notice as required.
• Travel may include job site and other Nucor facilities for inspection, testing and training.
• Will work on shop floor to support operations as required.
• All other duties as instructed by direct supervisor.

Education

CWI (Certified Weld Inspector) - Currently hold certification

UT Level 2 Certification – Currently hold certification
