Job summary

Nucor is seeking a QC Technician to lead nondestructive UT testing and oversee quality issues in fabrication. The role grants authority to stop work on non-conformances and requires strong teamwork to promote a safety-first culture.

Responsibilities include reporting on in-process issues, preparing UT testing reports, and supporting production reporting in Invex. Travel to sites and other Nucor facilities is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• CWI certification currently held.
• UT Level 2 certification currently held.

Responsibilities

• Perform and coordinate UT testing within the facility.
• Report progress of work in process, rework/repair orders, and production problems.
• Prepare reports following UT testing per order requirements.
• Be willing to learn and use Invex for production reporting.
• Travel on short notice as required, including to job sites and other Nucor facilities for inspection, testing, and training.
• Work on shop floor to support operations as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
